SNMP Trap
SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) Trap support lets ONE collect asynchronous notifications sent by any SNMP-enabled device through SmartGate.
Prerequisites
- A working SmartGate Agent is deployed in the target network.
- UDP/162 (or your chosen port) is reachable between the device and SmartGate.
Getting Started
- Navigate to Integrations → Plugins.Click Start Integration on the SNMP Trap card.
- Select the SmartGate that will listen for traps and upload the MIB file(s) required to parse incoming PDUs.
- Save the task—it is created in the disabled state.
- Build a data stream to extract metrics/events from the parsed trap fields, then manually enable the task.
Configure Data Stream
ONE does not provide a default stream for trap payloads.
Create a manual stream to map OID values to metrics, labels, or events before enabling the task.
Verification
- Metrics: Insight → Data Model → Metrics or Insight → Data Explorer
- Logs: Logs → Log Query
- Events: Insight → Event Query
- Traces: Insight → Data Query → Trace
