User Guide
AI Studio manages models, tools, Skills, knowledge bases, and Agents as resources. Resources is the entry point for browsing, adding, and managing these AI assets, connecting Workspace (production) with Sage AI and Automation (consumption).
Before invoking a capability in Sage AI or Automation, you typically need to add it from Resources first (knowledge bases are an exception—see the Knowledge Base documentation). If a resource is not listed, ask a creator to publish it in Workspace, or add a shared resource from the Public marketplace.
Why Resources?
As teams accumulate more AI capabilities, the lack of a unified entry point leads to common problems:
- Capabilities are scattered across modules, making it hard for users to find and invoke them
- Built-in and custom resources are mixed together, blurring source and permission boundaries
- After version updates, users are unsure whether to upgrade or how it affects existing tasks
- Creators cannot easily share Agents and Skills with colleagues in other resource domains
Resources addresses these issues through categorized browsing, public sharing, and personal management—so AI assets are easy to find, add, govern, and use.
What Resources Offers
Browse and Add Four Types of AI Resources
The top tabs correspond to the main AI asset types on the platform:
| Tab | Description |
|---|---|
| Agents | AI execution units for specific scenarios; supports workflow and autonomous decision-making modes |
| Skill | Reusable standardized task capabilities invokable by Agents or Sage AI |
| Tools | MCP services and Tools view; built-in ONE MCP service plus custom MCP Server integration (streamableHttp) |
| Knowledge Base | Collections of team knowledge documents; reference via @ in Sage AI for enhanced Q&A |
Public Marketplace and My Resources
Agents and Skill support two views: Public and My Resources:
- Public: Browse built-in resources and shared resources listed by creators; use Add to install a resource into My Resources for the current resource domain
- My Resources: Manage resources added or published to the current domain; supports open, remove, version update, and configuration (Skill)
Tools and Knowledge Base are managed directly under the current resource domain (Tools includes MCP Services and Tools views—see Tools).
Relationship with Upstream and Downstream Modules
Workspace (publish) → My Resources (visible/usable)
↓ Add (public resources)
Public marketplace ──→ My Resources
↓ Reference / specify
Sage AI, Automation (consumption)
- Creators: After debugging and publishing in Workspace, Agents/Skills appear automatically in My Resources; to share with the team, submit a listing review—approved resources appear in Public
- Users: Add resources from Public, or use published/added resources in My Resources, then @ reference them in Sage AI or specify them in Automation trigger capability
- Administrators: Govern public listing and delisting through Review Rules and Review Queue under Security Operations
Typical Workflows
Users: Quickly Obtain AI Capabilities
- Go to AI Studio > Resources and switch to the target tab (e.g., Agents)
- Browse or search in Public, click Add to install into My Resources
- Switch to My Resources, click Use, or @ reference the resource in Sage AI
- When a new version is available, review update notes in My Resources and upgrade as needed
Creators: Publish and Share
- Create and debug an Agent or Skill in Workspace
- After publishing, the resource appears automatically in My Resources
- To share with others, submit a listing review; after approval, it appears in Public
- When publishing new versions, users who added the resource can choose whether to upgrade
Operations Teams: Scheduled Tasks
- Add inspection-related Agents or Skills from Public
- Go to Automation to create a task and specify the resource under Trigger Capability
- Review execution results in Execution Logs; assess impact when resources are upgraded
Operation Overview
-
Access Resources
- Select AI Studio > Resources from the left navigation
- Switch among Agents / Skill / Tools / Knowledge Base tabs at the top
- Confirm the current resource domain in the top-right corner
-
Browse and filter
- Agents/Skill: Switch Public / My Resources, use scenario tags or More for filtering; use advanced filters when needed
- Tools: Switch MCP Services / Tools views; use the search box (see Tools)
- Knowledge Base: Filter by name, description, or tags via the search box
-
Add and manage
- Public cards: Click Add to install into My Resources
- My Resources cards: Open/use, remove, update version (Agents/Skill), configure (Skill)
- Click the card body to open the detail page for basic info and orchestration preview
-
Use in Sage AI / Automation
- Sage AI: @ reference added resources or use quick-select buttons in the input area
- Automation: Specify an Agent or Skill under Trigger Capability when creating a task
Notes
- Agents, Skills, and tools in Resources are isolated by resource domain; switching domains changes visible lists and added resources
- Resources added from Public apply only to the current resource domain; after removal, they cannot be used in Sage AI or Automation
- When an Agent or Skill publishes a new version, automation tasks referencing it automatically use the new version; review update notes in My Resources before confirming an upgrade
- Built-in resources are ready out of the box—usually add them directly from Public; custom resources require publishing from Workspace first
- Knowledge bases are shared platform resources with a different usage pattern from Agents/Skills; see the Knowledge Base documentation
